Scales up after the weekend? Read this.
If the scale’s up after a weekend away… read this 🚨
One of my CC girls got back from a weekend away recently.
She stepped on the scales, saw she was 1.5kg up, and immediately panicked.
Her first thought?
“Should I cut my calories to fix it?”
My answer was very simple.
Absolutely not.
Because here’s the thing…
She hadn’t gained 1.5kg of body fat in a weekend.
Fat gain simply doesn’t work that quickly.
What’s far more likely is a temporary increase in things like:
Extra carbs
More salt
Travel
Different foods
A bit of bloating
All of these can cause water retention, which pushes the scale up for a few days.
But it’s temporary.
The problem is that so many women see that number rise and immediately feel like they need to punish themselves.
Cut calories.
Do extra cardio.
Try to “undo” what they ate.
And that reaction often feeds the cycle of guilt around food.
When in reality?
Nothing actually went wrong.
Because this is life.
Life isn’t meant to be spent eating the same meals every day.
Never going out.
Never celebrating.
Never making memories.
And honestly… what’s the point of being lean if you’re miserable?
So instead of overreacting when the scale jumps after a weekend away, do something much simpler.
Just return to your normal routine.
Stick to your usual calorie deficit.
Drink plenty of water.
Eat your protein.
Move your body.
Give it a few days.
And more often than not, that scale weight will settle right back down.
No panic.
No punishment.
No drastic measures needed.
