Stay in your lane (it’s where the real progress happens)

Imagine if you added up all the time you’ve spent comparing yourself to other people…
And instead used that time, effort, and energy to focus on your own progress.

I’ll be honest - I used to waste SO much mental energy comparing myself to other people.
Their bodies. Their routines. Their progress. Their results.

And all it did was slow me down.

You’ve probably heard the phrases before:
“Don’t compare someone else’s middle to your beginning.”
“Don’t compare your real life to someone’s highlight reel on Instagram.”

They’re clichés for a reason - because they’re true.

Social media shows you the polished moments.
Not the off days.
Not the setbacks.
Not the times they couldn’t be bothered either.

So here’s your reminder:

Stay. In. Your. Lane.

Easier said than done, I know - so here are a few practical ways to keep yourself focused:

🔑 Unfollow accounts that make you feel rubbish
If someone’s content triggers comparison, guilt, or pressure - they don’t get a seat in your head. Protect your space.

🔑 Get clear on what you actually want
Not what looks good on Instagram. Not what someone else is doing. What would genuinely make you feel proud, confident, and fulfilled?

🔑 Create a simple action plan
What steps do you need to take to get from A to B? Keep it realistic. Keep it doable.

🔑 Make it visible
Pin your plan somewhere you’ll see it daily - your phone lock screen, fridge, notes app. Let it anchor you when comparison creeps in.

And finally…

Remove distractions that don’t align with your goals.
And if you catch yourself slipping into comparison mode? That’s okay - it happens.

Just reset.
Refocus.
And realign with YOU.

Your journey doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s to be successful 💖
