The Christmas Week That Doesn’t Ruin Your Progress
Let’s do some maths…
Days between Christmas and New Year = 7
Days between New Year and Christmas = 358
When you zoom out, you’ll realise something very freeing:
Those 7 days you’re out of routine in December?
They are a tiny blip in your whole year - and absolutely NOTHING to stress over.
What actually matters is how quickly you get back into your normal habits once the festivities are done.
One week of relaxing isn’t the problem…
It’s when that one week snowballs into a month…
Or two…
Or three… (we’ve all been there 😅)
There are 31 days in December.
So those 7 festive days? They’re less than 25% of the month.
That means you still have 75% of the month to absolutely crush it.
And guess what?
That 25% isn’t going to undo your year.
Not even close.
Sure, the scales might have a tantrum on January 1st - because you ate, drank, stayed up late, and lived your best life.
But that temporary jump is water, food volume, sleep disruption, and salt… NOT actual fat gain.
Your progress for the month doesn’t disappear because of a few days off.
Because what you do the majority of the time will ALWAYS outweigh the minority.
So enjoy Christmas.
Have the chocolate.
Drink the prosecco.
Make the memories.
And when it’s over?
Just resume your regular routine - and carry on smashing it!
