Don’t Press The F*ck It Button

Something I speak about pretty much daily with my clients.

🤷🏼‍♀️What even is it?

It’s the button that many of us decide to press when life throws us a curveball (which it will do a lot BTW)

We can’t eat our planned dinner or do our planned workout on one particular day, for whatever reason.

And then suddenly we are four days deep into eating everything in sight and not moving from the sofa.

🤷🏼‍♀️Why as humans do we hit the f*ck it button and sabotage everything?

➡️It’s always a mindset thing.

And it’s strange because we don’t do it in other areas of life.

If we are on a boat and a bit of water gets in.

We don’t immediately give up and start piling in more water so that we sink faster.

We do our absolute best to stay afloat, get back on track and not make the situation worse.

You don’t drown from the bit of water coming in, you drown because you keep letting or even helping the water come in.

Same thing with our goals.

You don’t fail because you overeat one day, two days or even seven days in a row.

You fail because you use it as an excuse to give up and make the situation 10x worse.

The best thing you can do is start to change the fuck it button into the ‘draw a line and reset’ button.

Reset and move on.

Learn from anything that doesn’t go to plan.

Don’t beat yourself up or spiral into self sabotage and you will stay afloat.
